ok I figured out why I haven't tried any of the other examples in the latest release. ecere won't let me open them. perhaps because the version change? is that version compliable with windows ?

thankyou very much and I'll check out those samples I must have overlook them. as far as missing features there are many rendering options like rayshaders, terrain maps, partical generators, and I'm sure the list goes on and on. while some of these things won't be a big deal at first I want to know ...

I don't really know about the blender exporter. alot of those are created by people like me who have a need and as such they are often incomplete as with this one. I was playing around with the test3ds file to see if I could export something from blender and get it to load. this didn't work. then I tried importing the desktop.3ds into blender and exporting it back out as desktop2.3ds. the file size was of the export was smaller and again it would not load. eth...

well thanks for the very warm welcome I got it figured out now as long as I don't put it in a programs file directory on any drive all works well.
